A training top either disappears during a session or you spend the session adjusting it. The difference is usually the
armhole and the hem — shaped through the shoulder so nothing catches overhead, and finished at the hem so it holds position
instead of riding up.
The bras range from low-impact studio styles through to fuller-support constructions. Support here comes from contour
seaming and cut rather than compression alone, which is what keeps them wearable across a long session.
Choosing support
Low impact — one-shoulder and asymmetric styles for pilates, yoga and studio work.
Medium to high — contour-seamed and front-zip styles for lifting, conditioning and running.
Crop and longline tops — wear over a bra or, where padded, on their own.
For running, always size into a higher-support style than feels necessary.
